About Us
Medical Center at Elizabeth Place opened in September 2006 and is restoring a longtime asset to the
Dayton area. The 26-bed, physician-owned hospital serves the greater community with the latest, most
advanced medical procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, GI, opthalmology, diagnostic
imaging, gynecology, neurosurgery and urology.
Situated on the former site of St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Medical Center at Elizabeth Place employs more
than 80 people and utilizes four operating rooms in addition to the 26 private medical and surgical beds.
The center offers the finest care in a progressive setting, and because 60 area physicians own it, the
interests of Medical Center at Elizabeth Place are aligned with our patients and the community.
Medical Center at Elizabeth Place, which opened in September, 2006, is the Dayton area's first
physician-owned hospital. Sixty area physicians, including general surgeons, ophthalmologists, GI,
orthopedic surgeons and many others specialties, own a portion of the hospital and practice at
Medical center at Elizabeth Place.
It is a return to healthcare as it used to be. Personal, compassionate care. A patient-focused setting. A
schedule that fits you, not us.
According to the American Medical Association (AMA), specialty hospitals "offer improved, cost-effective
care." They "encourage competition between and among health facilities, which has led to the delivery
of higher quality more efficient and innovative health care in the communities in which they are located.
" Read the AMA letter.
Our physician-owed hospital provides more than 80 jobs and benefit the community by helping to
return the site of the former St. Elizabeth's to its place of stature in the community.
